I tried to make a phone call to the airport but the number seems to be not relevant. I lost my green cooler bag at departure area- duty free area last Friday (17th March) in the evening, probably between 5 to 7'o clock. If somebody had spotted it and left it at lost&found section, I'll be pleased to be collect it.

No organization what so ever. Transit terminal was too small for the number of passengers. No priority lane for business class passengers in addition, only 2 agents working on the transfer desks for hundreds of passengers. Rude staff and not helpful at all. The security check point was a joke, a woman passed the metal detector and triggered the alarms nobody was paying attention staff didn't check her at all. Needles to say i do not fell safe at this airport and will probably never come back. To conclude with something positive The lounge it self was ok food is ok however the wifi wasn't working properly.

Having a layover of over 8 hours at the airport, we were convinced that we would at least be able to visit the country a bit. Unfortunately someone in immigration has decided that if you are on a tranfer flight you will not be welcome in his country. What a joke. Had to sit and wait in the joke of a departure area without meals, the food that is there seems to come from some dumpster, the bathrooms are filthy, the service is absolutely pathetic and the immigration officials mannerism is that of a third world babboon. International Airports are meant to make your flights easier and not upset your entire holiday because of an airline deciding to stop over. Bluntly put - food; wouldn't try, drinks; rip-off, bathroom facilities; filthy, smoking; absolutely not, banking facilities; nothing, service; non existant. My advice would be to miss the Seychelles completely - fly direct

Because of a change in flight schedule, my layover in the Seychelles was extended to 8hrs. I was shocked upon arrival to learn that I would not be allowed to leave the airport. The justification was that I did not have proof of accommodation. It is absurd to require accommodation from someone with a same day ticket departing at 15:00. The immigration process should be no different whether the visitor is staying eight hours or eight days. I am quite upset as I sit here in the terminal for 8hrs staring out the window. What a ridiculous policy! And what preposterous reasoning! At the very least a procedure for layover visitors should be established if the Seychelles and their international airport are to be taken seriously.

I recently passed through the Airport on my way out of the Seychelles having been there for a month on a business trip. My employer and I had both spent a substantial amount of money in the Seychelles. When it came time to leave, I went to claim back the VAT I had paid on an item of jewelry I had purchased. However, the VAT counter was closed, and remained closed for the two hours I was at the airport. My flight ended up leaving before the counter was opened.

It is probably now too late to claim the VAT back.

I find this abysmal lack of service extremely unsatisfactory, to the extent that is has marred an otherwise brilliant trip. It has also put me off returning to the Seychelles.

I also noted the complete lack of protective equipment being worn by the ground staff on the flight line. This included no ear defenders or steel capped shoes. In a country such as the Seychelles, where I can't imagine the general staff are being paid a great deal, I would imagine the airport, as a responsible employer, would provide simple items such as these so as to best look after the welfare and health of its employees. In the grand scheme of things the small cost imposed would pail in comparison to the cost imposed on the health system, when these people suffer from long term or short term injuries.

You lot need to sort you bloody act out, words can't describe my lack of respect poor impression of the airport and how it is run.

On another note the wee cafe in the departure lounge should be closed, or taken to court for false advertising, because from what I saw and the food that was slapped on the bowl in front of me didn't even look close in appearance, quality or quantity to what is shown in the menu.

I expect to get a reply stating how my concerns have been address in real terms. Management jargon will not be considered a suitable answer.

Shame on you for not ensuring that the counter was not open for all international flights!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am now substantially out of pocket due to your piss poor service.

The food options are so bad, the biggest bar opens at 1pm, the little at 12.15pm, no credit cards accepted in the little, and the quotation of the US dollar is 20% less than the real. The big bar food is horrible to see, I would not imagine swallowing it. The cashier was sleeping on the cashier machine at the little bar. People who commented this is the best airport they ve ever been, must have come out of jail, as this is a clean airport but basic food needed in all airports is a rare thing to find. Also check-in is in the open so you melt in the Seychelles heat.

-No complaints box at the airport
-Taxis generally rip you off even though the airport authority writes

"Taxi fare to Victoria is approximately SR.75. During the night time, a surcharge applies, bringing the cost to SR.100."

Well, multiply that by factor 4 or 5 and you got the right idea.
-Airport authority obviously does not want to take measures against this practice

Great welcome!

This is my third time to saty at seychelles and it was amazing as usual but unfortunately the airport staff lack respect and courtesy as usual. After passport control and before security check there is identity chck! !!!!. I don't mind it but bear with me. This time the officer takes my passport and my 5 year old passport. Then while giving them back he drops one them intentionally on the floor and while me picking it up he so disrespectfuly kicks it a little bit farther. I swear that I the urge to hit him and put him to the floor but out of self respect and not to disturb my own son and least respect to local laws; I behaved like nothing happened. I will not go there again. My advice to staff authority is that respect is earned not forced and for sure you lack decent behavior.

To Whom it May Concern,

I am writing to inform you that my family and I had missed our connection due to a very poor service of your agents.

On the 22nd October 2011, my husband, my 9 months baby and myself flew from Doha, Qatar to Saint-Denis, La Reunion. We had a 7 hours stopover at the Seychelles airport which we spend at the lounge airport. An hour prior to departure, we were getting prepared and the lounge manager came to make an announcement to all as the flight was delayed by at least one hour. So we sat down, exhausted by the waiting and tried to keep my baby entertained. An hour later, three airport crew agents came to us and yelled that we are needed at the gate as the plane is taking off soon. We quickly put our luggage together, in less than a minute we were downstairs at the gate. We introduced ourselves and were ready to go when a lady firmly said that it is too late and there is nothing she can do.

15 minutes later we saw the plan taking off. Gutted, we asked for new options; we got offered to stay at our own cost in the Seychelles until the next flight which was 4 days later or to take the flight to Mauritius (which was in fact, the one delayed) and then from Mauritius to La Reunion, that way we could be at La Reunion during the night. We chose the second option and stayed 3 hours in the airport crew's office to purchase the flight tickets. Eventually and just fifteen minutes from the flight time, we got our tickets but only the ones to Mauritius so we would have to go through the same stress and waiting over there to get the tickects to la Reunion. We didn’t have a choice so flew to Mauritius. At arrivals we has less than an hour to explained our situation, buy 3 flight tickets to La Reunion.

This error put me and my family in a difficult situation; we ended up spending more than 24 hours between flights and airports and spending an extra 1300 Euros. We were simply devastated by the gross of the situation, not to mention the worries for my baby. This caused us considerable inconvenience.

I am writing to ask you to please make up the shortfall immediately and to ensure that such errors do not happen again. The manager should have mentioned the flight number and air company when saying a delay announcement. Also, the crew must make sure if 3 people are missing at the gate but passed security and boarding, then they should be found, especially in such a small airport! I enclose a copy of the apologetic testimonial letter written by the lounge manager.

I look forward to hearing from you shortly.
